Welcome

WelcomeVelkommenようこそ欢迎خوش آمدید

I am a biomedical engineer with a PhD from the Department of Health Science and Technology, Aalborg University, with experience across academic research and industry. My work centers on applied machine learning and AI systems, with a focus on predictive modeling, interpretability, and building reliable solutions that move from research into production quality systems.

During my postdoctoral work at the Center of Excellence for Health, Immunity and Infections (CHIP), part of Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen, Denmark, I worked on personalized medicine, infectious diseases, and the human gut microbiome. I contributed to the development of predictive models for clinical outcomes, with emphasis on transparency and explainability through approaches such as SHAP, aiming to make complex models understandable and clinically meaningful.

In industry, I have developed and maintained AI systems in regulated environments, focusing on scalable pipelines, monitoring, and reproducibility. More broadly, I am interested in intelligent systems that operate in complex domains, including healthcare, biological systems, and emerging frameworks based on large language models and agent-oriented AI.

Selected Work

  • Medical AI Toolbox (MAIT) — Open-source Python framework for developing and validating machine learning models in clinical research.
  • ExplaineR (CRAN) — R package integrating SHAP-based interpretability for transparent and reproducible medical AI.
  • Automated Claims AI System — Development of production quality ML pipelines for insurance claims processing across multiple European markets.
  • Fatigue and oculometrics research — Work on objective fatigue assessment using eye movement dynamics.
